Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies
Festive, candy cane cookies to try this holiday season.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ? cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cup flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¾ cup chocolate chips I prefer dark chocolate chips
- 3 candy canes, finely crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Using a hand mixer, beat together butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract and beat until mixed together.
- Add in flour, baking soda and sea salt and beat until well combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and candy canes.
- Roll the dough into balls and place onto greased baking sheet or parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes for gooey, soft cookies. Bake for 12 minutes for more well cooked cookies.
